Grandma and Grandpa

We are in Turkey! I have been waiting for Turkey! for a couple weeks now. Grandma and Grandpa are here. Wow! I love Grandma and Grandpa and they are lots of fun to spend time with. Granpa is a bit of a turkey sometimes though. Here are some pictures today of me doing one of my favourite things in the whole world, looking at flowers.

Russian History

Mommy and Daddy and I stayed in Moscow for three days with Ben, Greg and Liza. Greg liked me, so he gave me a teddy bear. We went for a walk to the Red Square, but it's not very red, and I know red cos I use it to colour a lot with my pencils. Uncle Jim told us all about the big cathedral. Russian history makes me melancholy.

Easter time

It is Easter soon. Mommy wrote me a book to explain what Easter is about and how Jesus loves me. Making Easter eggs is a tradition. This is how they do it in Russia. People don't have chocolate eggs here.

For Daddy's birthday we went bowling. At the end there was a little time left so I had a turn too.

Happy Birthday Daddy!

Daddy had a birthday! We bought him a globe for his birthday. Its a big ball with a picture of the world on it. Mommy and Daddy went out with some friends and I stayed home and played with auntie Elena. We played lego and took pictures. I smiled real nice for her, even though my teeth were hurting. I have almost all of my teeth now.

Driving my car

Here is a place that Mommy and Daddy take me to play sometimes. They have slides and balls and animals and cars. Here I am driving a car. Is this how you drive in reverse?
I am looking forward to driving in a real car soon, in Turkey, with my Grandma and Grandpa from Canada. Daddy will drive that car though.

More Snow!

Guess what! It snowed again! And its still snowing! Mommy and I went outside to play in the snow. I brought my shovel, because I knew there would be lots of new snow to dig. I even sat down and played in the snow, and didn't even get wet. Its too bad Russian kids aren't allowed to sit down outside because the snow is soft and kinda comfy!

Storytime with Daddy

I like reading my books by myself, but its even better when Daddy reads them with me. He does voices and helps me find things like puppies and balloons in the pictures. I love reading with Daddy.

Winter is nearly over

The snow has started melting. So I am making the most of it and saving as much of it as I can with my little red shovel. I am very proficient at shovelling now. But I have a lot of work to remove this wall of snow behind me.

I Can Paint!

I painted two pictures today. The first one is a fish, I told Mom what it was called. It's a yellow and red fish. The second painting I did Mommy asked me if I would like to draw some flowers, so I did. Aren't my flowers pretty? When I draw with crayons or pencil crayons Mom watches me but today when I tried paints for some reason she sat right close by me, and helped me.
Can you believe I painted these all by myself without any help?

Thanks for the Books!

Thank you grandma and grandpa and everyone else who gives me books! I know that I told you before that I love reading, but I thought you might want to see some pictures of me enjoying the books you sent. I have now learned almost all the names for the animals in my books and helpful phrases like "read it to me" so I'm getting lots of use out of these books. They also have such nice pitures!

PS. Sorry I forgot to wash my face before this picture was taken. This way you can see my other great love - ve ve ve ! ( Daddy says it Vegemite)
