My first trip to the sea

I had my first visit to the sea yesterday. It is a part of the river that is really wide so the local people call it a sea since the real thing is a long way away. Daddy and Mommy went swimming in the deep water and I wanted to but didn't know how. One time a wave hit me in the face and I got a bit scared.

We brought my bucket and spade along. Daddy and I built a sandcastle together. This was so much fun. My favourite part was when Daddy made a tunnel and I could see him through it. After we went to the beach a parcel arrived in the mail from my friends Levi and David in Canada, it was a beach ball. That would have been really special to have with us. Anyway Daddy says we will try to go again a few more times before Summer finishes.

yes what was the temp like. The water looks cold to me but I think thats because big bodies of water that are grey are cold in my experience. But the river is usually warmer. If this river is this wide it wont have dangerous currents but how many other qualities of a river are missing too? Looks like the sandbuilding was the most enjoyed part of the day but that wasnt all new so maybe you will like swimming better next time. I hope your mummy and daddy get to take you back this year again

today I showed your blog to another little girl named Nora. Her mom is Pattie(Clark) and her Grandma lives in Korea. Grandma was here visiting for 3 weeks and maybe now Nora will make a blog like you have for her grandma and other family. Pattie was really surprised that I check this blog most every day and show people it at their houses when you come up in conversation. Its amazing how many times you come up in conversation.
Love you lots. Did mommy show you pictures of us at Uncle Matt and Auntie Sarahs wedding?

How do you get to the "sea?" Do you take the bus or the train or the trolley?

The water was not cold. Daddy stayed in a while and said it was warm when he went back in. Daddy says the weather could be warm on Saturday and we might go again, but it has been cold all this week. Daddy is worried that Summer is over.
We caught a mini van (marshutka) on the way down (45 mins) and a train on the way back (1 hr).
