This morning Daddy swapped his book that I was reading for my Winnie the Pooh book. When he gave it to me I handed it back and said "read it." Daddy was so impressed with me that he immediately obliged. He later explained that I could say "read it please" but this sounds like a bit of a tongue twister to me.

Then after breakfast Mummy and Daddy were sitting on balls on the floor. They were trying to get me to walk between them. I have been practising walking a lot recently. I really enjoy walking when some one holds both my hands, or walking with the pram by myself. But Mummy and Daddy keep trying to make me walk by myself. I don't really want to though. This morning I thought I would keep them quiet, so I took two steps all by myself. I thought "ok Mummy and Daddy, that's enough now." But they just won't stop bugging me! What can I do to make them stop?

Well Abigail, you'll find that bugging you about walking is just the beginning. Soon they'll be bugging you about talking, then reading, then riding a bike. In almost no time they'll be bugging you about boys. It just never ends, so you might as well get used to it! Seriously though... if you walked, that is a big deal and we're really excited about it!
Good on you Abigail! Now that you're starting to walk, soon they'll be bugging you because you are running away and wanting to explore everything. They might even wonder why they were in such a hurry to get you mobile! But you'll be glad :-)
