Baby communication

When we came out of the metro this evening we bumped into a lady that we have met a few times at church. She had to work, giving out pieces of paper to people who walked past. Her little boy needed to be taken care of so he didn't get cold. So we took him back to our place for a while. This was really hard for Yegor because he didn't know us. He cried a lot when he woke up.
I also cried because I was sad for Yegor who missed his Mummy. But then I had an idea to help Yegor. I shared my toys with him. I have been playing with other Russian babies outside sometimes. They taught me to say "Na na" which means "take it." I said "na na" to Yegor lots of times.
Mommy and Daddy had never heard me talk in such a way before and were very, surprised, especially because I said it so clearly. Daddy says I am a really good m-kid and Mommy says she was really proud of me for sharing and caring so much.

Look I can draw

I have been scribbling on paper for weeks. So now I have my own crayons. Mommy and Daddy also bought me a colouring book. It has pictures of Kangaroos, Koalas, Emus, Platypus and Echidnas. I am learning about Australia where I was born.

Polyclinic

I went to the doctor today. The doctor’s place is called the Polyclinic. Mommy and Daddy were very happy to find this place, because the doctor is a very nice lady. Her name is Olga Alexandrovna. She lets me draw with paper and pen and she has a tambourine.
The first time I went I did not cry when I saw Olga, but then I cried when I had a needle. Today I cried when Olga put the earphones on and listened to my heart. I was a bit afraid but Mommy hugged me and Daddy sang to me.
Then I had another needle so I don’t get the tuby sickness. Then I really cried very loud. But then we went outside the room and saw paintings of froggies and I smiled at them. Then when we were walking home I saw some birdies on the street. Birdies are my favourite and I can even say “birdy.” Mummy and Daddy think I am very smart.

My first trip to the sea

I had my first visit to the sea yesterday. It is a part of the river that is really wide so the local people call it a sea since the real thing is a long way away. Daddy and Mommy went swimming in the deep water and I wanted to but didn't know how. One time a wave hit me in the face and I got a bit scared.

We brought my bucket and spade along. Daddy and I built a sandcastle together. This was so much fun. My favourite part was when Daddy made a tunnel and I could see him through it. After we went to the beach a parcel arrived in the mail from my friends Levi and David in Canada, it was a beach ball. That would have been really special to have with us. Anyway Daddy says we will try to go again a few more times before Summer finishes.
