Abigail's birthday

Note from the editor:

Over the years you have noticed that blog posts have been in the voice of Abigail. In more recent times Abigail has dictated the words for posts. It is not always easy to get Abigail to sit down to do this, especially when on her summer holidays. So I have decided to post some things in my own voice, now speaking of Abigail in the third instead of first person. She seems to old now to be putting words in her mouth.

We had a nice day for Abigail's birthday. The weather was quite hot. We decided to start early in the morning so the kids would not be caught in the heat of the day. We went into Saskatoon to Kinsmen Park.

Abigail's cousins came for the day- Livvy, Gavin, and her two foster cousins. We found a nice spot with two picnic tables in the shade. The kids played some fun games: bubbles, balloons, running, "duck, duck, goose".

After the games and birthday cake we had a ride on the kids train around the park. There is also a splash pool outdoors in the park, all of the kids had a splash there as the day started to get hotter.
