I couldn't pick the flowers

Last week we went to a very special place for Australians. I didn't quite understand it all but Daddy said it was important and that I wasn't allowed to pick any flowers, so I knew it must be special. Daddy says you can read about it all on his blog.

Swimming

When I was in Australia and not yet 6 months I went swimming at the pool. But I have not done this for a long time. I went swimming the other day but really didn't like it. Then Grandma decided she would just show me other kids swimming and having fun. Then I decided that I wanted to go in too. So Mommy and Daddy took me in the pool yesterday. I sat on the edge and kicked and then went in. I think I like the water now.

Flowers and Rocks

All this week we have been looking at rocks. Rocks. rocks, rocks. I am getting pretty good at picking out rocks, you know. Normally I go straight past the rocks to the flowers as they are far prettier. But today Grandma showed me a rock that had pictures of flowers on it. Finally, some ruins that I can relate to.

Dressing up in Turkey

We went for a drive up a BIG (one of my new words) hill today. We visited a little village with lots of steep streets. They had lots of little shops. In one of them I tried on a Turkish toque (toque is another one of my words that I know).

Flowers

Today I went with Mommy, Daddy, Grandma and Grandpa to a very old city called Effss. There were lots and lots and lots of pretty red flowers there. Remember I know all about the colour red. They were so pretty, I had a great time playing with grandma and the flowers. Daddy kept talking about all the buildings, but I liked the flowers more.

Grandma and Grandpa

We are in Turkey! I have been waiting for Turkey! for a couple weeks now. Grandma and Grandpa are here. Wow! I love Grandma and Grandpa and they are lots of fun to spend time with. Granpa is a bit of a turkey sometimes though. Here are some pictures today of me doing one of my favourite things in the whole world, looking at flowers.

Russian History

Mommy and Daddy and I stayed in Moscow for three days with Ben, Greg and Liza. Greg liked me, so he gave me a teddy bear. We went for a walk to the Red Square, but it's not very red, and I know red cos I use it to colour a lot with my pencils. Uncle Jim told us all about the big cathedral. Russian history makes me melancholy.

Easter time

It is Easter soon. Mommy wrote me a book to explain what Easter is about and how Jesus loves me. Making Easter eggs is a tradition. This is how they do it in Russia. People don't have chocolate eggs here.

For Daddy's birthday we went bowling. At the end there was a little time left so I had a turn too.

Happy Birthday Daddy!

Daddy had a birthday! We bought him a globe for his birthday. Its a big ball with a picture of the world on it. Mommy and Daddy went out with some friends and I stayed home and played with auntie Elena. We played lego and took pictures. I smiled real nice for her, even though my teeth were hurting. I have almost all of my teeth now.
