I like talking

I am starting to talk. Learning to talk takes longer than learning to walk. When I was 5 months old I said "mom" one day. But this word is not very common in my vocabulary. Mommy and Daddy are teaching me to use words instead of crying when I want something. I have a little bit of a habit of crying when I want something. Mommy doesn't like it and it makes her unhappy. So I am trying to get better.
When I was about 8 months old, Mommy asked me if I was "all done" one day when I was eating breakfast. I often say "all done" when I am finished eating. But Mommy and Daddy still have to ask me first.



My favourite word for a long time has been "birdy." I love birdies, they are my favourite animals. Recently the weather has been nice and warm outside, so Mommy has been taking me for walks while Daddy is at work. Yesterday we saw a "puppy." He was little and cute, I was twice as tall as him. I said puppy about 50 times.



Often, I like to say "Abigail." I am getting very good at saying my own name now. It is probably my favourite word altogether now. Yesterday when I learnt the word puppy I thought about this word a lot, so I made up a new word: "puppygail!" Oh, I nearly forgot another word that I like to say: "yukky." Yukky does not mean bad though, it is just a really fun word to say and I am still working out what it means.

I love "fowers"

On the way out of the metro yesterday, I stopped to look at the flowers and say hello to the flower ladies. I can say "fower" now. They are very pretty and I like them a lot. One lady gave me a flower. Then a different lady gave me a flower. Mommy says it is a supercushion in Russia to not give 2 flowers or 4 flowers, but 1 or 3 is better. So then the first lady had to choose another flower for me. Then I couldn't hold three flowers, so she tied them up with some ribbon.



On the way home I held them on my sled, I loved them to death.

Remember the pictures I put up about my new sled when we got it? Well now I figured out another way to enjoy it. I help Mommy push the sled. I like doing this because there is a bar to hold on to at just the right hight. The only part I can't figure out is if we are both pushing it who's supposed to ride in it?

Playing in a big house

We visited some people with a big house tonight. They still have their Christmas tree up, Daddy says that is normal. They played with me.

They had lots of Father Christmas dolls. We made a tower.

They were very friendly people. I liked them. I could understand their Russian too.

Guess what?

Guess what? David and Anna, my friends came around last night. It was lots of fun. I really enjoy playing with them. We played Duplo in my room. I don't usually play in my room by myself. I like drawing a lot, so David drew pictures with me too. I hope they come around again soon. Sorry the picture is not the best (you can't see David's face), but Daddy's battery ran out.

Wallpaper

Daddy and Mommy are putting up new paper in our room. I was a little confused at first, because I like things to stay the same, but after a while I wanted to help.

Uncle Dan

Uncle Dan has come to live with us. Mommy and Daddy said that he will be here for one month, but I don't know what a month is, I figure it's a really, really long time, so Uncle Dan is just one of the family to me. On the day I saw him, I gave him a big smile and let him cuddle me, because he is a very big teddy bear.

That's a funny joke you just told Daddy. I think that you tell really funny jokes just like Grandpa in Canada. These smiles are for all the people I love in Canalia, both of my families.

New Red Dress

Here is another Christmas present that I was given. It is from my great grandma Pat. It is very, very pretty, thank you Grandma Pat. I wore it to church on Sunday and then had a little mishap so now it is going through the wash. I like dressing up all pretty, Mommy puts a lot of work into my hair and clothes.
